The applying organization acknowledges and agrees that the Center for Excellence in Nutrition and Dietetics designation is a recognition program administered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (“the Academy”). The designation is awarded solely to organizations whose nutrition and dietetics leadership demonstrate successful adherence to the Academy’s established Standards of Excellence, including innovation, leadership, quality management and outstanding practice.
The organization further understands and agrees that:
- Any organization that submits a Center of Excellence application (whether initial, re evaluation, or redesignation) is required to pay a base, non-refundable application fee of $500. In addition to the application fee, an appraisal fee, scaled to the organization’s total number of employees, is also required. All application and appraisal fees are non-refundable, regardless of application outcome.
- The designation is not a clinical endorsement, guarantee of service quality or referral by the Academy.
- The Academy makes no representations, warranties or guarantees regarding the organization’s clinical services, business operations, patient outcomes or compliance with any federal, state or local laws or regulations.
- The Academy assumes no responsibility or liability for any services provided by the organization, including but not limited to medical, nutrition, administrative, operational or professional services.
- The organization is solely responsible for maintaining ongoing compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, licensure requirements, and professional practice standards.
In addition, by accepting the designation, the organization agrees that it will not represent the designation as an endorsement of specific services, nor imply that the Academy has evaluated or approved any clinical or operational practices beyond the scope of the published Centers of Excellence.
